The Mindful Leader 360-degree Evaluatio

The Mindful Leader 360-degree leadership assessment is a comprehensive, research-validated tool. It raises awareness on a new form of leadership and personal effectiveness that’s harnessed when you learn how to practise mindfulness.

The assessment covers 7 key areas of leadership:

  1. Self-awareness
  2. Accountability
  3. Ethics and values
  4. Vision and strategy
  5. Innovation and learning
  6. Empowerment and collaboration
  7. Reward and Recognition

The Mindful Leader’s 360-degree assessment is derived from the world’s most researched leadership assessment – the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI). It utilises the same methodology, scale, and philosophy as the LPI. However, our evaluation assesses a broader and more extensive range of leadership behaviours.

In 2017, the 360-degree leadership evaluation instrument was researched with the support of companies like Hilton Hotels, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Westpac Bank, and OMD Media among other companies. The research included benchmark measurements and cross-references to the following key items:

  1. Great place to work (5 key engagement measures)
  2. Mental health
  3. Organisational trust
  4. Credibility
  5. Leadership effectiveness

This evaluation has been academically tested and analysed for internal consistency and validity. The correlation between key evaluations, such as engagement and mental health, have also been assessed.

The results obtained proved, beyond a doubt, that mindful leadership has a significant impact on engagement, personal effectiveness, mental health, organisational trust, credibility, and leadership effectiveness.

Key findings:

40.16% of team engagement and 32.39% of team members’ mental health are dependent on the quality of mindful leadership, as practised by their direct boss.

Learning how to practise mindfulness, especially as a leader, can have a positive impact on your leadership ability and personal effectiveness.

The Mindful Leader assessment is an evaluation for the modern leader; those who learn how to practise mindfulness and benefit from the personal effectiveness generated by it. The mindful leader’s leadership style is one that’s self-aware, results-oriented, and people-focussed.

A mindful leader is someone who fundamentally improves all areas of their team and organisation.
